LED City Lights // 02.07.2013
Never thought I'd be on a mission to upgrade all of my lights to white vs yellow, but turns out I am. Next up was upgrading the city lights. ECS has an easy solution here for LED city lights that throw no codes.
Install is technically easy...if you have small hands. Follow the DRL install instructions to get the headlight housings open. I removed the DRL's to have easier access to the city lights. Couldn't really figure out how to get the city lights out, and resorted to just pulling on them / the wires leading up to them. Hard. Very hard :/ A bit risky, but it worked. The ECS lights have resistors built in, and the cabling plugs right into where the previous bulb went. Do that, and then do the hand yoga to get the new LED city light into the housing. I never got it to fully snap-in (didn't hear a click or anything) but it seems stable. My hands have a small collection of cuts and scrapes on them from trying to work within that housing. A bit of pain, for sure. In the end, there's definitely a difference!
