Fog Lights Upgrade // 02.07.2013
Continuing the quest for white light, I went with the ECS Ziza super white bulbs to upgrade my fog lights. These are the simplest external lights to install. Remove the fog light grill (pull on the side that's closest to the center of the car first, out, and slightly in. Then it pretty much releases itself. Note on reinstall, there are two tabs on the end that is most to the outside of the car, that need to get inserted first.
Now, you need to pull out the fog light assembly to get to the wiring and bulb. There are 2 torx screws (I believe they're 25, don't quote me on it) that you need to remove. Once done, pull fog light forward, while also to the outside of the car. You'll see there are two tabs that extend into the bumper on the inner part of the fog light that you'll need to free in order to remove the fog light completely. It's a little bit of wrestling. Sorry no pics, but it's not that hard.
Once removed, unplug the wiring leading to the bulb, twist and remove bulb, and insert new bulb. Re-assemble, and done. A very easy one for sure.
Pictures don't show that drastic of a difference below, but it is definitely noticeable, and I much prefer it. I now have city lights, DRL's and fog lights all at 6k, and I'm happy to report that they really don't look that blue (at least not to me). Just seems like a very clear white. Wonder if I'll upgrade the OEM HID's to 6k, too?
